Note: Longjack is another name for Tongkat Ali. For simplicity, I have opt to use the term ‘Tongkat Ali’ throughout this article.
Tongkat Ali works and it works amazingly well. It is the closest nature has ever come to creating the perfect aphrodisiac. But many people who buy Tongkat Ali supplement off the Net will never come close to experiencing the wondrous sexual enhancement effect (among other things) of Tongkat Ali.
Before I go into the reasons why, there is a persistent myth about Tongkat Ali I want to dispel. And its going to disappoint you. And that is… Tongkat Ali Do NOT work immediately, in 30 minutes, like what a lot online sellers are claiming. Far from it. The plain fact is… no nutritional supplement works right away.
Now with this out of the way, let’s dive into where to buy and how to use Tongkat Ali for maximum effect.
Here are the guidelines for buying Tongkat Ali supplements:
1. Buy Tongkat Ali root extract and not just Tongkat Ali.
2. Buy Tongkat Ali root extract that specifies the extract strength. Too low, it doesn’t work.
3. Buy a product that contains Tongkat Ali extract only.
4. And finally if possible, buy Indonesian and not Malaysia Tongkat Ali.
The active ingredient within Tongkat Ali (latin name: Eurycoma Longifolia Jack) roots is present in miniscule amounts. Therefore, products with label that says it contains ‘Tongkat Ali’ just isn’t going to do the job. It must specifically state it contains Tongkat Ali extract.
But that’s not enough. You must also take note of the extract strength. An extract strength of 1:50 means 50 gram of Tongkat Ali root is used to produced 1 gram of extract. An extract strength of 1:100 means 100 gram of root is use to produce 1 gram of extract. And 1:200 is even more concentrated with 200 gram of roots being used to produced 1 gram of extract.
Thus among the various Tongkat Ali extracts cited above, 1:200 is the most concentrated and potent. Watch out if a product simply say ‘Tongkat Ali extract’ without specifying the extract strength. The concentration could be 1:5 or just 1:2. Technically it is still an extract. But therapeutically, it feels like nothing because the concentration just isn’t high enough to have any impact on your body.
You also do not want to buy a supplement containing other ingredients. Its a waste of money. Just buy the pure extract.
And finally if possible, buy Indonesia Tongkat Ali supplement. Why? First of all, in Malaysia, Tongkat Ali has been declared as a protected plant since 2001 and any wild harvesting from its forest is illegal. And there is also no Tongkat Ali plantation in Malaysia. So any manufacturer who claims their Tongkat Ali is from Malaysia is probably stretching the truth or perhaps breaking the law. Secondly, Malaysia’s Tongkat Ali has been found to be high in lead content, ranging from 10.64 to 20.72 ppm (parts per million). Compared to Indonesia Tongkat Ali, the lead content is just 0.08 ppm. Also, Indonesia is the only country in the world where Tongkat Ali shrubs can still be found in the wild.
The Proper Way To Consume Tongkat Ali So It Works Like Magic
In order for Tongkat Ali to work, you must consume at least 1000 mg per day, at an extract strength of at least 1:50.
If you’re consuming Tongkat Ali at an extract strength of 1:200 (which is what I do), the recommended dosage is at least 600 mg per day.
25 mg to 200 mg per day will have no effect on you.
Also Tongkat Ali extract is not a supplement you take on a daily basis. For maximum effect, it has to be ‘cycled’. The way to consume it is to take Tongkat Ali for 7 days, and then going on a ‘off cycle’ for 4 days without taking it. You can also go on a 10 days ‘on’ cycle and 5 days ‘off’ cycle.
